Wow, I haven't been here in forever.

 

I won't bore everyone with the details of what's been going on. I'll just suffice it to say, I broke up with my girlfriend, and am looking into other options of places to live outside the Chicago area, in case things don't improve here.  

I need consistency. I'm a paradox in that I'm someone who loves structure and routine, yet when I'm in situations such as right now, being unemployed, I have no motivation to come up with any kind of routine.

I need to come up with some kind of daily ritual/routine to deepen my spiritual practice. I could certainly use the balance, especially when I've been stressed about the job situation.

Well, things have been crazy here. Some drama, but I won't get into that.

I flew back to NC to visit family for Easter. It was nice. It brings up some internal conflict though. My family is very conservative Christian, and even though I'm out on my own now, I'm still torn as to whether or not to come forward with my religious convictions as a UU(Unitarian Universalist) Pagan Witch. Or even opening up just gradually(aka come forward about UU first, then the Paganism, etc.), I'm undecided. I don't do conflict well, which is ironic considering I seem to get caught up in so much of it.

 

Here it is, in the middle of April, and it's snowing! Insanity.  

Well, I'm finally settled in at my new apartment in Elk Grove Village, IL, a suburb of Chicago. It's been a big adjustment - so far I love it. Getting a little stressed about the job hunt though. I do have 2 phone interviews this week, though!

 

 

Now that I'm out on my own, I'm focusing on developing my spirituality more. I'm trying to come up with more of a daily ritual(s). Also, I feel I am being called by Fortuna, a Roman Goddess. So, I'm trying to get to know Her and learn more about Her as well. Any information would be well appreciated! She seems to be one of whom there is little information about online, that I've found....
